Suntel launched first Call Centre in Kandy

Suntel lunched the first call centre to operate out side Colombo in Kandy recently. The chief guest, the chairman of Suntel Mr. Jerami Hakstable, who is seen lightening the traditional oil lamp opened the center ceremonially. The marketing head of the Suntel company, Ms Nilmin Gunarathne and many other key officials from Colombo and the staff the Kandy branch were present at the occasion. The same evening, Suntel gave a cocktail to their customers and Other members of the Kandy community.

Ceylinco Insurance Felicitates Top Kandy Clients

Ceylinco Insurance - Kandy Branch recently hosted a dinner at the Hotel Earl's Regency to felicitate their top Kandy clients. There were about 800 invitees. Senior management of Ceylinco Insurance including the Managing Director Mr Ajith Gunewardena, Director Duncan Nugawela and the Kandy Branch Manager Thilekesh welcomed the guests.

Lions District Governor Visits Maligawa

Lions International District 306C1 District Governor Lion Amara Dissanayake accompanied by his Cabinet Secretary Diresh Hettiarachchi, Cabinet Treasurer Ananda Balasooriya and the other cabinet officers from Region 5 of the District recently visited the Maligawa. During his visit to Kandy he also met with the members of two recently established Lions Clubs in the area, Lions Club of Dumbara and Lions Club of Ambatenna.

Peradeniya Lions Help Mathematics Students

Zonal Mathematics Instructor and author Mr Karthi Lal Dias presents the first copy of a mathematics study guide book for GCE (OL) that he authored to the Chief Minister of the Central Province Sarath Ekanayake (third from left) at a ceremony held recently at the Lumbini Royal College, Kandy. The Lions Club of Peradeniya under the leadership of Lion President Edwin Ranasinghe sponsored the publication and printing of the study guide. One thousand copies were distributed free of charge to children for low income families who also attended a series of free mathematics seminars paid for by the Peradeniya Lions.
