Naish House on Top at Hillwood
Rushini, Thirathi, Dilrushi and Savindya are champions
The Hillwood College primary school inter-house sports meet
held recently at the Bogambara Stadium produced four young
athletic champions, Rushini Jasan (under 9), Thirathi Waliyanga
and Dilrukshi Perera (under 10) and Savindya Ratnayaka (under
11). Naish House with 219 points won the inter-house shield..Bellerby
House won the first place in the drill display. Ireland Jones
House outshone the completion in squad and group events and
became the overall runner up behind Naish.
The school honoured one of its retired teachers former Prefect
of Games Mallika Perera by having her as the chief guest.
The Rev. Titus Navaratne, Hillwood principal Mrs. S.K. Hettige,
primary school Head Mistress Mrs. R Bulumulla and other distinguished
invitees shared the honor of presenting awards to the winners.
The primary school PTI Mrs. Anuska Kasthuriarachchi assisted
in the organization of the sports meet. Nestle Lanka (Pvt)
Ltd were the main sponsor of the event.
