Women's Chamber Presents Wedding Fest

The Central Province Women's Chamber of Small Industries & Commerce recently presented a colourful “Wedding Fest” at the Hotel Suisse that attracted a large and enthusiastic audience. The focus, as the name would suggest, was on brides, bridegrooms and wedding ceremonies. The highlight of the Fest was a bridal show capturing Sri Lanka's cultural diversity in Kandyan, Indian, Muslim, Hindu & Western fashions.

Leading beauticians Deepika Gunasekara, Hashini Gunasekara, Berni Balasuriya and Premasiri Hewawasam conducted beauty and make up demonstrations.
Lassana Flora, Telepix, Wanamal Flora, Swarna Mahal, Ranrasa Video Lab (Gampola) and Subramaniams were among the leading business houses from Kandy that participated in the show.

The Governor of the Central Province, Mr. Tikiri Kobbekaduwa was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
