Karunadasa family from Matara

| Karunadasa
lost a lot to the tsunami - two of his four children, his house
and the tools and equipment that he had to make jewelry and
sell to earn a living. Through the Tsunami Assistance Project
we purchased equipment worth about $1000 for him to start his
jewelry making which will earn him about $150 a month. The picture
shows the handing over of the equipment to Mr. Karunadasa by
Sister Sandamalee, Principal of St. Mary's Convent. His wife,
daughter and Mrs. Sakunthala Gregory of St. Mary's who coordinated
the project are also in the picture. |
